"We didn't go in with a plan. We went in with a theory"

Says a quote attributed to a veteran State Departmenet official in a Knight Ridder review of Amercian post war planning for Iraq.

I wish the Republican partisans would realized that the only people claiming Iraq is going well are the President and his team. A fundamental metric for truth is that the truth be verifiable through independent means. If there are CREDIBLE, independent sources for Iraq going well, I am unaware of them.

The President's political attack dogs seem to score point when they claim Kerry is wrong on defense and wrong on the war on terror. That sickens me. Kerry claims, among other things, that the war in Iraq was not planned for. The link above is credible, independent evidence that Kerry is right. And the Right is wrong.

Here is a good synopsis of our what our options are on November 2:

"Your choice folks. Elections in November. You want a mega-millionaire ego-maniac it's-all-about-me crew-eating-pizza-ite like Kerry or maybe a Green Party candidate like Ralph Nader? Or, God forbid, maybe even re-elect George Bush, a nice God fearing Christian bent on protecting us from terrorist attacks on US soil? Hmmm, let's see..."

I culled this from a right-wing list serve. The surprising thing is that, to many conservatives, this is a fair way to look at the world.

Wow, this proves the media is liberally biased! Check it out, pass it out...to your church groups, to your knitting circles, to your square dances, and your county fairs:

Kerry Could Become First Gay President

And the knee-jerk conservatives bellow about the "liberal media", please. Talon News is an admittedly Republican alined organization. But doesn't change a thing. This is yellow journalism, pure and simple.

During the last debate on Friday 10/9/04, in rebuttal to Kerry's pledge not to raise taxes, President Bush said,

"I think that the way to grow this economy is to keep taxes low..."

This is wrong, wrong, wrong! I cannot emphasize this enough. This belief is taken straight out the Vodoo Economics his father criticized in 1980. It is supply-side economics. It didn't work for Reagan and it hasn't worked for the Shrub (you know, little Bush). The much vaunted, triple tax cut has not, on the whole, been beneficial.

Don't take my word for it. Read this. It says, in no uncertain terms, that future tax cuts are not the answer.

No, this is not a liberal media burning the Shrub. It is an open letter written by economic and business professors from leading universities. Universities like Harvard, MIT, Rutgers, University of Michigan, and the University of Wisconsin.

Please people, look beyond the political rhetoric. The Shrub has been disasterous for us (and the US). It is spin to say otherwise.

FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S GOOD AND.....

Will somebody force "unthinking" Repbulicans to read this!

Kerry has not waffled - Not on Iraq. The President's assertions to the contrary are outright lies. Choosing to define the total dollars spent in Iraq differently (Kerry can be said to play fast and loose with his numbers on this issue) is suspicious.

However, that is not lying. The President lies, Lies, LIES! Either that or he is deluded. Please people, WAKE UP! Bush is not a good president. He is not a leader. He is a demagogue. His messianic certainty boarders on insane. If he continually claimed that his anus secreted the sweetest nectar, would you believe him?

No, of course not! His shit stinks just like all the rest of us. You know that. I know that.

So why the bloody fuck do we believe his lies about Iraq!?!
